How old does my child need to be to be inrolled in school?

Kinder is 5

Head start programs are 3-4

I'm pretty sure if they are four when you register them for kindergarten, but will be five by the end of the year (December) then you are okay. I'm not sure about preschool though. 3-4?
I think 5...6 is pushing it!!
5 or 6 years old but he has to pass some tests in order to start kindergarten.
