My ten year outdated daughter is domineering of our puppy. How can I obtain her to close to him, and him to resembling her more?

I am looking for some serious answers here. Getting rid of our dog (or daughter) is not an option! We get a 6 month old masculine Pomeranian about 3 months ago. At first my ten year antediluvian daughter liked him, but when she saw that he resembling me (her mom) she started to get green of him and was sometimes a bit rough next to him (pulling him away from me). She has made him yelp on more than one occassion. He is solitary 4 pounds and she doesn't handle him as sympathetically as she needs to, although she understand she shouldn't hurt him and is trying to be nicer. What can I do to prevent him from being nippy, and what can I do to assist her get over her desire? Thanks in finance!

Answers:    She's 10, she knows the difference between kind and hurtful. There's no reason a child of this age should be incompetent to act appropriately around a pet. Is she an solely child?

Go to puppy training classes, take her next to you if you can, and tell them both sour when they behave badly. A short, sharp "NO" can do wonders for both.

The puppy will nip and "mouth" while its getting its puppy teeth. This desires to be trained out and not tolerated. Get him an appropriate chew-toy from the pet store.

At 4lbs, he weighs smaller amount than a baby, and is pretty vulnerable. Dogs are pack animals and he is bottom of the pile as far as your own flesh and blood is concerned. Always greet your husband first, then daughter, next the dog and never place the dog above either of them. Even if he get to you first when you enter the house. He must be last contained by line so he know his place in the kith and kin.

Sort the training issue and the pack-position out now, properly and trimly, and things should improve.
You should try to take involved in training the puppy, assuming that he isn't already. That road she'll feel needed by both you and the puppy. Also, she'll benign of feel superior (intelligence wise) to the dog and she'll realize on her own that she have no reason to be green of him.
