Parents, do you get well sick of...?

Standing in the school yard waiting for your kids day after day, having to listen to mothers having mundane conversations about which washing powder they prefer and what their making for dinner that night?
Is it just me or is there anything more tedious than that time of the day?

Answer:
HAHAHAH i know what you mean! i can't stand talking to the mothers at my daughter's school...it's about kids and their stupid husbands and makeup.

HAHA! i found ONE mom i can relate to. she rocks.

you are NOT alone, sister!
Does that happen in real life? I have waited for my kids and we parents have never ever talked about laundry or dinner.
Oh my gosh, I've reached that point yet, but it definately sounds boring- perhaps I'll send my partner to get my daughter from school when she reaches that age :)
Thankfully my kids are not at school any more
I dont tend to listen - the most tedious time for me is meal times - make the food, eat it, wash up and then a few hours later start again
No actually it is the only time of day I talk to other adults besides my husband, and besides I learn a lot sometimes. I also like to know who my child goes to school with and what kind of parents their children have.
agree totaly...especially in the peeing rain!
Yeah, and those god-awful mother and toddler groups where you actually have to join in the games and play with other people's kids .ugh!
i just keep myself to myself, get my kids and get out of there i cant be bothered with idle chit chat

I dont pick my son up from school as I am still at work till 5pm so he goes to the afterschool club,
but on the odd occasion that I am off work I get him and yes I know what you mean, these wives must have such boring lives, talking about crap and her and no. 32 etc etc.
I do love the times I get to pick him up myself but I am glad that I have a life other than been a mother and a wife, otherwise I would be discussing washing powder along with them like who cares! lol
im so anti social,i just sit in my car until the last minute
i dont pick my kids up from school or take them i just cross my fingers and hope they can find their way home everyday ..i suggest u do this u avoid all moaning mother this way .
Don't you wanna know the kids and the parents that your child is friends with? Who knows you might even start liking some of these people and see that not all their conversations are about laundry. Give me a break. You need to get involved with who your child picks as friends.
I tell you what's worse - listening to the working mothers complain about how tired they are!!!
I've never discussed my washing powder, or the dinner arrangements. It depends on the type of person you are. It takes all types to be a mother.
Right there with ya...That's why I never joined the PTA! Can't stand the "soccer Moms".!!
i try to be social with as many of the other parents at my children's school as possible.. I'm lucky that we live in a very close knit village most of us know one another and there are only around 150 children at the school. There are a few who are devoted to the grind of daily life but for the most of us its all the other bits.. the latest bug going around (woohoo).. or who's having a baby next!.. man we are boring.. ignore everything i have just said!
You are one of the cool parents? The ones everyone else rolls their eyes at because your overly impressed with your own intelligence. Honey it's called small talk we really don't want to know you.
Nope because I sit in the car in front of the school and my son comes right to the car :) It's either that I wait a half hour before I can get out of the parking lot @@
