What is a normal 5 year old devolpment?
Answer:
You're going to get slightly different answers from different sources, and depending on whether you mean a minimum or an average expected of the age group. Generally an average five year old will be talking (and having conversations) and moving (walking, running, jumping, fine motor skills) well but might still be clumsy (mine is!), will be social but might be shy, will be mostly toilet trained by day but might wet at night (about 50% still do), will be taking an interest in the world and people he/she meets, can be pretty independent physically but still needs parents for emotional support, might be naughty sometimes but should be able to reason a bit about behaviour unless tired. If you're concerned about anything, it's worth talking to your child health practitioners just for reassurance.
You can get this information from your local health department or library. If you have specific concerns, a visit to the family doctor is probably in order. Good Luck!
