No more little milk cartons?
Who's terrible money-saving idea was this?? And do other parents notice this at their schools?
Answer:
that is strange my daughter still has the little milk cartons.. and also.. they have the chocolate milk in small carton too.. must be cheaper for the school where your kid goes. they were talking about going to little mini bottles to ensure freshness but too expensive..
times how they have changed,.. its the little things that we remember fondly.. cuz i remember them being 15 cents then upping the price in h.s. to a quarter.. and im only 34.. ha ha
No, our kids still have little milk cartons. It is probably a local issue having to do with delivery, storage and pricing. Talk to the school's food service manager and ask!
geez you're really not yourself today!
Yeah,I graduated almost 7 years ago and we had the plastic bagged milk, they were such a pain to get the straw in!
no at my sisters school they have the little plastic bottles with the screw on tops and the old fashioned milk cartons depending on what size you want.
Must just be in your area. Not surprised though, that they made them like juice pouches.
We still have cartons. You must not have many problems at your school if you only have to complain about milk cartons.
At my school we still have the cartons. Although we have bagged juice now which is weird because it is also a hazard I mean kids could pop it and suffocate on the pieces! This should really be otlawded! I am going to talk with my principal.
our school in arkansas still has the milk cartons
Must be a district thing, my son's school still has milk in cartons and they get offered skim chocolate, 2% white and skim white everyday. Talk to the other parents in your district, if it bothers more than just you (if it doesn't bother any one else you will have a hard time gaining support to get the policy changed) talk to the school principal, and the school board about getting it changed.
At my old school we called these the "milk implants". As funny as it is for the adults, it is difficult for the kids. It is a storage and trash issue. However, the parents made a stink ( a professional one!) and it was reversed. Depending on the size of the district, it could be a test school, or maybe it is due to regulations. Check with the Principal or the food service manager.
Well they still have the little milk cartons ocassionely i think it just depends on what they have at the time. I think that the plastic jugs are supposed to be healthier or something.
