What kinds of things do 6 year old girls like to do?

i am soon starting to babysit a 6 year old girl and i was wondering what kinds of things they like to do. i am only used to babysitting babies and boys that were kids never any girls so im not sure what they like to do lol someone help please

Answer:
My daughter is 6. She loves to color and draw, read, and play games (Yahtzee, Scrabble Jr., Jenga). She also loves doing gymnastic-type stuff--flips and jumps and somersaults--usually off or around the furniture...(not that this is a good thing--just letting you know about it...) She also loves music and dancing. I'd recommend lots of coloring books and crayons and/or markers, and also activity books with things like dot-to-dots and mazes, plus regular books that you can read to her or have her read to you if she's able. DVD's are good too: my daughter loves Clifford the Big Red Dog. 6 is a fun age--good luck!! :)
color, play games, watch dora the freaking explorer
Believe it or not, I taught my daughter how to play Poker at six. We always had a ball, and it helps in learning math skills. She always enjoyed coloring, too. But our favorite thing to do was for her to sit in my lap while I read to her.
i'm not sure , but maybe she likes going to some where to play computer games, doll or cinema , And i think she likes going some where with her parents
They pretty much like to color, draw, oh and they like it when you tickle them, play horse, hide and go seek, and carry them
educational games are always good and they keep kids occupied. i am sure her parents have some. beside that, i would say the park, or anything outside, tag, jump rope, hop scotch.i know most kids love being out doors if the weather permits. just don't let her play video games all day, it will fry her brain
Pretend, play house, read books, play with dolls, color.
girls likes vary greatly. dolls and barbies (though not my daughter)
art and craft
games
lego
cars
marbles
playgrounds are always good.
cooking
reading
play-doh
chalk and some concrete...can keep them busy for ages
paper, boxes, glue, sticky tape and pencils. This would keep my daughter going for at least 2 hrs
they like 2 play kitchen kitchen.
they like 2 cook n allll.
All little girls like to do diffrent things believe it or not. When I was 6 I liked to go outside and try and climb trees run around I could be anything I wanted to be I never needed anyone to play with but some how always had someone to play with lol. But I would probably get some kiddy games she'll like any game at all you could even make one up she'll love it and let her win lol it's really not that hard to inertan a 6 year old girl lol.
It all depends on the child. At 6, my daughters played with dolls, watched movies etc.
go skating, children museum
Anything that makes them feel 16! Dress ups, make up, reading, computer games, barbies! Heaps of stuff like that I have a girl 7 and a girl 5 (two boys 6 and 4). But she will probably want to be doing whatever you are doing! They like being a part of everything that is going on. And, baking is fun too!
When my daughter was six, that's when she really started becoming her own person, and wanted to choose for herself the things she preferred to do. My advice is to ask her what she likes to do ahead of time, that way you can bring something you know she'll be interested in. Plus, this is a good way to connect with her at her own level.

I've found that the majority of six year old girls like things like barbies, dress-up, coloring, and music/dance. But she could be into something completely different; her own style. Maybe she's the kind of girl who would rather go outdoors and kick a soccer ball around, rather than sit on the couch and read fairy tales...so, my advice is to ask her what she likes.
Play school (get a dry-erase board) and let her be the teacher. Board games. Video games. Computer sites--Barbie.com, NickJr.com, PollyPocket.com, Bratz.com,

Playing with those dolls, barbie, polly pocket, bratz. Dressing up and doing "make-overs."
Color, draw, paint, Barbie, Bratz, Polly Pocket, Cabbage Patch Kids, Sponge Bob, make jewelry or other crafts, play house, play school, sometimes video games
My 6 year old is all over the board. Here are just a few thngs she likes.

Martial Arts Classes
Baking with Mama
Crafts
Drawing
Computer games

At that age, they can tell you what they like to do. So it never hurts to ask since all kids are different.
Little girls LOVE to play dress up. Have their nails painted, color, go for walks and just talk. I think little girls are easier than boys because you can keep their attention longer. Bring a package of cookies and cook cookies with her. Take two chairs, a blanket and make a tent in the middle of the living room. Do something really fun because if you do alot of fun things with them, their Mom will love you and that will mean more babysitting! Stay off the phone too, I hate it when babysitters spend a lot of time on the phone.
play at the park
My 6 year old niece like to play with baby dolls, color, dress up, watch cartoons, play house, have tea parties! Pretty much the same things all little girls like to do. Good luck. Just use your imagination. I think girls are easier to entertain then boys. I have a 6 year old boy and he gets bored way tooo fast!!
Play grown up, paint their faces and nails like the big girls, dressup, play house or tea parties in the living room or outside in the back yard, have other girlfriends over for a day time slumber party, lots of things to do ask them what they like.
Play with Polly Pockets/Barbies/My Little Pony/Dora the Explorer.
Draw, paint, playdough/clay, make crafts, make jewelry, use perler beads.
Read.
Play outside.ride bikes, take nature walks, etc.
Play baby dolls, have tea parties, etc.
