My son is doing a report and need to know what should be in it?

just a suggestion.
Decide on a topic which interests him.
For the introduction, explain what his topic is.
The main body of the paragraphs could be, say, his topic was about boats... What functions they have, what they're made out of, etc.
Conclusion, sum it up, and he could write his opinion about the topic.
Do research on what ever the assignment topic is... Then do a report and a project. Project could be made or done on poster board. IF you are still not sure ask his teacher... don't forget he probably has a good idea of what hes supposed to be doing.
email your teacher or call the school and ask...I doubt that any teacher would assign a 5th grade report and not give any instructions. Your teacher has a rubric and you just need to ask for a copy.

Yeah, that's kinda ridiculous. Did she at least give you a subject? If the report can be on anything, how about animals? What's your sons favorite animal? Then you can go online and get some information.
The teacher gave him a report to do on some subject. YOU don't put anything in it..he does. He does the research and the report.
