When my 6 yr old son gets hot his face is half red and half normal can anyone tell me why?

Answer:
My son is the same way, he has always done this. When he was a baby and cried he got splotchy red marks, they went away after he stopped crying for a minute. It made an interesting couple of Dr's appointments and made me sit there extra time to see. It's perfectly normal.
My three children were like this. They also would wake up red on one side of their face. The doctor called it "harlequin color" and said it particularlly happens to children who have fair complexions.
My 8 year old is like this. She was in cheerleading and we would have to pull her off the field because I was afraid she would pass out from heat exhaustion, she never did and would soon return to normal. When she cries her face gets blotchy too I don't know why she's always been this way.
i get like that and alot of my family is like that, the dr. said it is a mild case of rosasia, a skin problem...nothing serious but there is treatment when he gets older if it gets worse
