Answer:
he will get a job where they stick him in a corner and give him very structured problems to solve. I deal with this type a lot. Not totally sure how they exist, just wanted to let you know that it is not that uncommon.
School smart is different from that kind of stuff.
isn't it Y2K?.no wonder you don't have A's.
It's no different out in the real world. I had a coworker who was brilliant with computers but would say stupid things and ended up getting fired.
Perhaps it's God's way of keeping us all somewhat equal to one another.
Some people are book smart but life stupid.
That's actually a very intellectual question. They certainly could have worried about some kind of future problems. Why do you care anyway? Is his lack of common sense effecting you? No. Maybe you should study harder so that you can have both common sense and book smarts.
Intelligence and common sense are mutually exclusive.
It is very strange, but true. I have relatives like that.
its simple!! books smarts are learned..common sense is natural... mother nature just sometimes forgets to flip the switch to on when some folks are born. Just a little nature thing!
Sad, but this does happen.
since i am in some honors classes (english, and chemistry) and most of my friends are too, there are infact kids that are book smart but have very little common sense. also, for instatnce, a friend of my is very smart and has common sense, but she isnt street smart. put her in a certian situation and she wouldnt know what to do. she is very good in her studies, while im ok, i stuggle a bit, but unlike her, i know how to do many things she wouldnt be able to do.
It is what my Grandmother calls book sense. Some people are good students when it comes to class and books -that's books sense. Common sense is something that you acquire from life, home, parents --some are not as fortune as others when it comes to this gift from our parents. Unfortunately, it is also hard to acquire later in life. Imagine learning everything you have learned about the world, and life in general from a book --I do not thing it is possible. If you feel you have common sense, thank your parents!!!
he has booksmarts, but not streetsmarts or lifesmarts.
It's possible to be good at memorizing facts but have no common sense.
