Does anyone know any good christmas activites for kids?
Answer:
you could put like a treasure hunt on for them. except have little clues that take them to each place and eventually to the treasure. the clues could be little cryptic poems or something like that.
ive done it before and the kids loved it...and it kept them entertained for at least half an hour!
You can get red and green construction paper and have the kids cut them into strips. Then make them into interlocking rings and alternate the colors, see how long you can make it.
Kids like crafts, so have paper out for making christmas cards, paper chains, and snowflakes. Have lots of cookies, and they will be fine!
Why don't you have them each make their own christmas ornament. Look online for some cute ideas and then go to your craft store and get what you need . Check out

Depending on the age...I suggest popcorn xmas decorations. Pop a bag...thread a needle...make a long string of popcorn. They can decorate trees...or whatever. I enjoyed that when I was a little girl!
decorating cookies with icing and sprinkles are always fun for kids.when i was little i always liked making paper ornaments also. i bet you could find different websites for ideas too.

What are the ages of the children?
If you re having a Christmas party for kids its great to get them to make there own Christmas cookies or decorate a gingerbread house. If you want to get crafty you can get them to make there own Christmas orderments and take them home you can just buy plane white orderments and give them paint or washable glitter glues.
There are all sorts of craft things you can do, but the most important things are to 1: Know what you're gonna do before they get there and have all the stuff you need to do it. 2: Involve the kids in whatever it is. You didn't mention the ages of the kids, so that leaves a lot open to interpretation. I have an 11 yr. old and he is soooo cool, he would loathe having to do a craft project. He would rather "hang" with his friends and talk. But, when coerced, he can be rather engaging and will eventually succumb to a good time as long as everyone is involved. Not sure if this helps, but good luck!
make christmon's, it's an ornimate that is constructed with styrofoam and glitter, you cut the styrofoam into shapes from the bible and decorate it with the glitter. Each Christmon has a story behind it on whatever the shape is. you have the child make the Christmon and learn about the meaning behind that Christmon. and then read it to the class.
they could make their own cookies (like pre-forming gingerbread men, and having all kinds of stuff to decorate them) They can eat their own project. OR there's a recipe for the kind of gingerbread you don't eat (kind of like play-doh that you let harden) and they could do the same thing.
pin the beard on the santa, cookie decorating, wreath hunt, it really would be clearer if you told what age these kids were.

Well for the really little ones like the 6-8 year olds you can have them color pretty pictures of christmas trees and presants or what ever and for 9-13 they could make there own christmas ordaments or um something like that
Maybe you should give out elves costumes, have secret Santa's, pin the nose on Rudolph, dancing to holiday music, and even maybe a scavenger hunt
Putting whole cloves into oranges to make a pomander - smells so good. Decorate a brown lunch sack with stamps, paints, whatever you can tolerate, put the pomanders in it and it's a present for their mom or dad.
Premake cut-out cookies. Give them all the goodies (frosting, chocolate chips, red hots, sprinkes, etc.) to decorate. Buy some tins at BigLots, let the kids put their cookies in the tins to bring home.
If you want them to be in a giving spirit, have them wrap basic toiletries you purchage at a discount store. Bring the wrapped items to a nursing home where lots of the folks there don't get any presents. It could be a lesson in giving, and the wrapping is fun, too.
Put on the Christmas music. They really do like it, despite what they may say... :)
