Cake decorate back?!?

AAUGH! I am baking a carrot cake (2 9in rounds) for my daughters 9th birthday party tomorrow!! I am HORRIBLE at decorate...I'm pathetic when it comes to icing and one creative!! PLEASE help me near any cool ideas!! My daughter is NOT a girly girl (asked for a skateboard), loves animals and pirates. Any suggestions would be awesome!! Thanks!


Answers:    Put the cake layer on top of respectively other, then deck it as her favorite ball - basketball, soccer orb, baseball, etc. Just a solid color of frosting, then black gel to brand the stitching or hexagons for a soccer ball.

Or, how almost one of these skateboard cakes? You'd own to change up the second branch, make a bit more batter to spawn it into a 9x13 rectangle.

IF the cake is not baked already, Put them in cupcake tins and produce little hot air balloon. Fill up balloons beside air and attack a straw at the ending. Put the straw in the cupcake and tie a ribbon longwise around the unbroken thing. These are unproblematic, but still cute.
