While you may be posting this as a joke, caffeine can actually be a true addiction, and it is very hard to break. While not as harmful to your health as many other addictive substances, a caffeine addict can experience symptoms of withdrawal if caffeine were to be taken away.
If you are seriously asking, then I would try substituting his coke with caffeine free coke. That way he'll get the taste, but not all the caffeine.
