Hot choclate christmas present thingy??
Answer:
I'm doing this for a lot of friends this year. I found a hot chocolate mix recipe here: http://www.budget101.com/cocoa%20mixes.h... (I chose to do the "rich cocoa" mix) I made 5 batches for way less than what I would have gotten it for pre-made in the store.
I bought a large pack of cellophane gift bags and some small silver star ornaments and I plan on putting two servings worth of the cocoa mix into each bag, tying it off and adding one of the little star ornaments to the package. All that's left is to add a little instructional tag and it's a quick, easy gift!
u put the powder thing in the cup, I usually get Nestle its really good with the Marshmellows, u dont have to put sugar as its already sweetened, boil the hot water, and put a tiny bit of milk so it can taste creamy, and I like mine with whipped cream.
Did you mean the ready to make gifts? If so buy the plastic wrap cones shaped bags (wedding isle at craft store, like $2 for 20) Fill them with one serving of nestle powder hot chocolate than layer with 5 to 8 mini mashmellows & I add 5 or 6 tiny chocolate chips, twist , & tie w/ cute ribbon. They make super cute token gifts
I have seen them in the old fashion canning jars, with the snap lid. Pour a couple servings of hot chocolate mix into it, and a little handfull of marshmellows. As a little stirring spoon, you can take plastic spoons and dip them in melted chocolate. Some people like the extra chocolate with it. Also a nice little side treat.
Sounds yummy, and an idea that I didn't even think of for the Holidays! Think I may do this myself!
when i have made them in the past i did it like everyone else here, but to finish it off I tied a mini candy cane on the package with ribbon.
