How come this kid at my college never takes his hood off his head?

Maybe he's cold, or he's embarrassed by his hair.
One girl who went to college with me ALWAYS wore turtlenecks. She even had thin, sleeveless ones for summer. It turned out she had a mole on her neck that was really embarrassing to her.
His sense of style, a habit. Really no different than wearing a particular color or brand of clothing. He could be doing this to be different.
His head is cold.

Maybe he has social issues and this helps him make it through the day.
They say kids who wear extra large jackets do it because it gives them a place to hide. So maybe the hood does the same thing.
