Does any one have any tips for me,?
Answer:
there is a child gate on the market- Sure and Secure⢠Custom-Fit Gate-by: Summer Infant Products- at Babies R Us.com -it fits in a corner and will keep the tree out of reach. There is a gate also so access to the tree is possible when you are there to supervise the little one's actions :o)
get a smaller tree and put it on a table. thats what we did
When my son was this age we had to wait to put the presents out until Christmas night or if you have one or can get one the round baby gates you could put one around the tree.
A 10 month old is too little to understand, we were in that same boat a couple of years ago.
We did this...put the tree in the playpen. The gifts and everything. You could still watch the tree and enjoy it but until your little one understands not to touch this should work!!
I watch my boy good while we're in the livingroom, with the tree. When I have to do something that needs my attention - even for a minute - I put him in his playpin or crib until I can watch him again. It's worked so far.
super nanny to the rescue ! do you have a playpen? it doesn't work if you don't use it! then when you have time to spend with her, try to enjoy the tree with her. make her feel involved ! they are a lot briter than you realize. i hope this helps.
this is a hard one, i guess there is really nothing you can do, cause all the lights and the colors of the ornaments get her attention, i guess just watch her all the time and just give her something that doesn't brake. But don't scream at her, talk to her, even thou she is a 10 month old, she will get it. Good Luck
you just have to put it where its not reachable.
I used to get a smaller tree and put it up on a table in the corner. Keep ornaments away from the bottom.
Maybe you can put baby gates around it? I did that before. It may work.
