+++ Bedtime Books +++?
I need something that is calming and will help him with his fears on going to bed.
Any Ideas or Any Book Sugestions Will Be Helpful!
Answer:
"Goodnight Moon" and Goodnight Gorilla" are good bedtime stories. Also, when my 5 year old had troubles with going to kindergarden and being a big brother, I went to the public library and asked the librarian about children's books that dealt with these issues. I recall that there were about 10 books on each! Ask the librarian about bedtime fears and there is probably an Arthur book or Bernstein Bears story that will work!
Good Luck!
these are some books that i read (sry they are a bit old)
*Franklin
*The Bernstein Bears
*Fairytale stories (if he's a boy..they might bore him to sleep =) )
*Dr. Seuss Books
*Disney Stories
We love the "If you give a mouse a cookie" series. I think there's also "If you give a pig a pancake" and "If you give a moose a muffin". They are the most adorable books. Here's the links to them if you're interested :-)

All the "Good Dog Carl" books are cool
There's a really cute book called "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?" My son used to love that book before bedtime!
Or you try a personalized book - your son can "star" in the story in titles like Spider-Man, Batman, Sesame Street, Scooby-Doo, etc. Try this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com
I don't know what your beliefs are. but my kids and I always read from their children's Bible before bed. They also love The Magic School Bus series. Also, you could try taking him to the library so he could pick his own books, my kids are always more excited when it's a book they picked out.
We like books in our house by Robert Munsch, "Thomas' Snowsuit", "I'm So Embarassed", "Ribbon Rescue" and so on. There are many books by this author and my children always enjoy listening to them.
I know a lot of books but can't think of one off hand.
I used to tell my son stories....that I made up myself.
Stories about him being born
stories of cute things he did to know that he was truly loved.
Stories about a little boy who was afraid to go to bed and used monster spray to get rid of the monsters....etc.
He was only three then but it really worked. We used an old empty hair spray bottle and would spray the room each night before he went to bed.
He is thirty five now and we still do it.......just kidding.
Eventually, he grew out of it and could sleep just fine.
Calming music in the background and night lights are a great idea too.
