My 9 yo son fell off his bike, chipped 2 of his front teeth, and they are a bit loose.?

Do we just leave them alone or does he need to see a dentist? I am just assuming they will heal on thier own.

Answer:
Go to a dentist as soon as possible, in the mean time limit him to soft foods. Your teeth are held in place by tissue and he has most likely torn or pulled those tissues. They will hopefully heal with time and the teeth will sit firm. But only the dentist can tell for sure. But the teeth will need to head, just like an ankle, so its best not to over tax the tissues until you can see a dentist. Soft Food!!
My kid did similar when he was 11. You need to take him to see a dentist, the chips won't heal.
He needs to make sure everything is ok besides fixing the chips.
I think you should definatly take him to see a dentist.
Even if the loseness of his teeth would heal itself the chips wont so I would take him just to make sure everything is okay and see if his teeth need fixing.
Loose teeth do NOT heal. He needs to go to a dentist. The teeth may have to be filed and the dentist needs to check how damaged the teeth are. If the chip is too severe, he will have to repair the tooth immediately.
