What are some tips?

hey im in the 6 grade and my school has this thing were you go and sign up so you can help 1-2 graders on mathn and reading and i sighed up and i get to go ever other day of the week i just want to know one lil thin........ THE HECK SHOULD I DO WITH THE FIRST GRADERS i mean i know how to talk softly and be funny but its just that im scared that they will push me too far and the worst part is is that i have to do this alll year

so if you have any expirence with 2 graders please tell me all and what i should do

Talk to them like people but remember to be patient, they are learning and at a slower rate then you.
Most of them love animals and will love learning about a lot of different things. Ask them what they like. They will help you help them if you ask them.
you dont have to talk to them like babies, they will respect you more if you respect them. just be interested in what they have to say and be engaging. if all else fails break out some candy!
Never fear. They grow on you. To them, you are a true fairy Princess from the Land of Almost Grownup. They desire with all of their hearts and souls to be as grown and graceful and intelligent and competent as you. Let them fall in love with you. Let them play with your hair and let them touch your face. You are pure magic to them. Just ooze your refinement and maturity and they'll swoon over you. They need LOTS of emotional support, so, no matter what they do, find something positive and hopeful and constructive to respond with. Your smile is what motivates them. CARE about them for real and they'll learn quantum physics just to please you. That, and threaten on a regular basis to beat them with wet noodles.
