Really it depends on the child. Does your child's doctor ever print out the graphs for you to show you where your shild is in relation to other children his/her age? Mine does and it helps me alot, I often worry that my daughter is big, but she's always been big and she's right where she should be, although she is taller and heavier than 95% of kids her age. According to the chart anyway. It's usually only a problem is say they are heavier than most kids but shorter than most... so as long as the height and weight are pretty consistent it should be fine. Even still I'd ask the doctor.
