Do you have any tips for getting a 2 year old picky eater to try something new? What recipes work best?

Answer:
My youngest brother was a really picky eater and for a while my mom only cooked things he liked. We gradually started giving him new food.

When kids are that young try giving them finger food. Keep it simple

Wheel Shaped Noodles
Pineapple.
Jello

You can also make normal food more fun by taking a cookie cutter and makeing the food into fun shapes. Try things like Chicken Nuggets, Sandwiches, and Pancakes.

Hope this helps
Keep well balanced meals in front of him/her. Reduce the snacking and access to the foods that are bad for him. Over time, his diet will diversify.
Well I have a nephew who wants to eat what I'm eating. I also like to eat something and while I'm eating it I say "This is soooo good, yum yum" Then he wants some... If he sees you like it he will most likely want to eat it too.
Don't let them snack when they want, watch what they snack on, keep it healthy. All kids go through a stage where they are picky eaters, most grow out of eat eventually. My son was never picky, but I have seen a couple of my nieces and nephews go through the same thing, now they like all the stuff they never used to. Be patient. Try giving them a vitamin to keep them healthy until they grow out of the picky stage.
All kids go through this stage. It's normal. Just keep trying to get them to eat different things. When they get older, that will change.
sometimes putting food color on the food will get picky eaters to eat something. or using cookie cutters with fun shapes to cut sandwiches, pancakes, or other foods.
Let the child see you eating and they might follow suit. I know my son always wants my food when he sees me eating, and he's 2 as well. If you are really concerned ask her pediatrician to check her out, and for suggestions, also make sure she is getting all the vitamins and nutrients required for a child her age, since she doesn't eat a lot of things.
With my children I alway make them take one bite and avoid giving sweets unless they finish their dinner. Never give them something else because they will eat it better it will not help and if they are really hungry they will eat what you give them.
