My adopted 10 yr old child plays with his poop. he has adhd, & suffers with depression. I need help?
Answer:
with adhd and depression he needs to be under the treatment of a psychiatrist. The doctor could also help with the other issue.
First, I'd keep him away from poop... you know, eliminate the opportunity.
Have you discussed this problem with his pediatrician? That's a good place to start.
Are you sure the child is not autistic? I know of several children with autism that do that. My daughter is austistic but I am grateful she does not do that. She does pull on her lip and make it bleed and puls on the skin on her ingers and gets them to bleed at times. You may be able to get more help if you have the right diagnosis.
