10 year old boy birthday tomorrow.?

My sons birthday is tomorrow - November 1. I have opted against buying him toys because he never ends up playing with them and I am sick of wasting money! He loves massages so I made him his first appointment with a professional massage therapist and we're buying him some shelves for his room. We will do cake and ice cream this weekend with other family members but I want to do something special for him ON his actual birthday without spending hardly any money.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could have waiting for him when he wakes up? I thought about blowing up a bunch of balloons and littering his floor with them but other than that, I can't think of anything else. Please help!

Answer:
I let my children choose whatever they want to eat for breakfast on their birthdday. Which is usually ice-cream and chips. Also I put their breakfast milk (drink) in a wine glass.
They love it because they are the only ones who get that treat on that day and they feel real special. I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old and they both love it.
You could make his favorite breakfast for him and have it on a tray for him when he wakes up so he can have breakfast in bed. The balloon idea is great, because everyone loves balloons. Good Luck!

take him out for bithday breakfast just the two of you and talk with him about school friends and just spen some time with him that is what my son liked

I would say a big stack of Pancakes with a candle in it would be great.

Does your school let him bring in cupcakes? I heard some have banned this in their districts.

How about going out to dinner. He can get the "Happy Birthday Song" routine too.
