Well it depends on how old you are.
If you are a "grade schooler" as the topic implies, you have nothing to worry about.
As a child matures and start thinking about sex, all children will identify best with the sex they are most familiar with.. their own.
As they grow and interact more with the opposite sex, they start being attracted to the opposite sex.
If you are worried about being gay, stop, don't worry about it. If you are gay, you will know it and you will be fine with it, might have other problems. but just as most heterosexuals are fine with who they are, most gays are fine with who they are.

Sweety, you cannot treat being gay and you cannot treat being non gay. You are who you are. First you have to accept it and only then can you expect others to accept you.
Hate to be the one to break it to you, but I don't think you "get gay." I'm pretty sure science and common sense has debunked that myth. It's not a choice you make nor something that happens over time. Rather, it's part of who you are, just like anything else that makes you uniquely you. If you try to "stop being gay" I think you only end up frustrated, angry, and dishonest with yourself.
Maybe you're just confused right now. Maybe there are feelings, emotions or whatever that you're not sure what to make of. But that's a part of life. Instead of posting out here, I strongly suggest you talk to someone you trust, face to face, a family member or a friend or a teacher or a co-worker or whoever. Someone who will listen to you without judging. Y!A is probably not the best forum to get good information or support.
if you are gay, there is nothing that you can do to change it. if you mean thoughts of being gay then just don't think of those kinds of things. hope this helps. good luck.

I am going to assume you are a grade schooler..
It will be tough when you are young, especially being a teenager, being different in any way from everyone when you are a teenager is always tough.
You will find other Gay people eventually, and a partner to make you happy..
