Who was a child or knows one who was involved with an accident that resulted in any type of amputations?
Answer:
Contact a big regional children's hospital and they should have names of groups that cope with this.
If there isn't one near you, try Boston Children's and ask for a social worker and see if she/he can help you find someone in your area.
Someone I know (although not well) accidentally sliced her son's toes off with a lawnmower. She didn't notice him running up to her.
That was a few years ago and she's better now, but I think a part of her still grieves.
best wishes.
there was that kid on rooten.com that got his arm messed up in that grater
I,m not sure about support groups but i sort know how she is feeling i was 12 when my lil bro 8 jumped a train and lost his leg from the knee down. I was with him and the one responsible. It was really rough for a while but it does get better. You are the one asking the ? so let lean on you and vent talking about it helps try to let know accidents happen it was not her fault she and the child will both be fine really my brother and I have both grown up to be pretty decent people just alot more careful.
