How much sleep does a 7 yr old kid need ?
Answer:
9 hours
Different for every child but 10 hours +
a 7yr old needs at least 9 to 10 hours of sleep
Nine hours is good. It depends on the kid. Some need more, some need less. I wouldn't let them get away with anything less than 8, even if all they do is lie awake, at least they're resting. You could try a warm bath before bedtime. Also a glass of warm milk with a little sugar and vanilla might help make them sleepy. Tell a soothing bedtime story.
They say that us adults NEED 8 hours a night in order to function at our best (yeah we wish...) but with that logic it means that kids need 9 or ten hours as they are still growing. Sleep is actually very important for them to grow (physically) but even more important for their memory and brain funciton (when kids sleep its when their brains "file" all the days info).
About seven hours of sleep is right until you truly learn your limits of functionality.
I would say atleast 8-10 hours. It's different for all kids, so you have to find what works best for each child.
8 hours are enough
at least nine hours a night, and make sure to give kids a multi vitamin...gives them what today's food doesn't.Take Care
my daughter is 8, and if she doesn't get at least 10 hrs of sleep, she's almost impossible to get up in the morning.
it is said that younger children need 8-10 hours a night. NO JOKE! They play hard and are thinking at school 8 hours or so a day.
At least 9 to 10 hours a night.
at least 9-10 hours
About 10 hours a night.
My 7 year old is in the 2nd grade and both his doctor and school nurse suggest to all parents of students this age to get 11 hours of sleep each night. They feel that children are not sent to bed early enough and are at risk for heart disease if their growing bodies don't get enough down time.
9 hours
children need 10 hours or more of sleep each and every day for a growing body, they also should be kept on a schedule with a bed time. This allows for an easier time waking them in the morning and establishes your place as the parental authority.
if they have trouble going to sleep dont give em nyquil like they do in the simpsons.
