Answer:
The Leapfrog interactive FLY pentop computer is awesome. My son and his friend have it and there are all sorts of neat things you can do with it.
I know that this christmas, they have a new twister dance game out. That would encourage him to get moving, also would help with coordination and listening. I also know that some of the Cranium games are pretty good. Our kids have Cranium Hullabaloo, and it is probably one of the best games I ever bought. It combines listening skills, color and shape recognition along with physical activity. They have games for all ages. Check them out.
Active and educational? I dont know if there is such a toy except maybe detective kits. Those keep kids moving around the house!
V-tech! They make great interactive toys!
LeapFrog products are great! They are fun and very educational! They make products for all ages and I highly recommend them!
At WalMart or Toyrus they have virtual games that plug into the television.
Baseball
Electric Guitar
Star wars with light beam
dance etc..
not sure how educational but sure is active.
My children like a game called dice doodle.
You have several chances to roll the dice and make different
things that are on the cards layed out. And another is called
Toot and Otto. It's like connect for and it's really callenging
because it gets confusing as there are only 2 letters.
Leapster L-Max- Fun & Educational. And it can grow w/ the child.
I got one for my daughter and she luvs it.
Dance Dance Revolution. Jump rope. Skates and lessons. Pogo Stick. Twister. Cranium. Twister Moves. Lessons that are not a possession. Certificates for bike rides together.
There are some really good games out now that use a floor mat to do dance moves (or karate, or completing some video game task). Kids can play alone. Combines the concepts of video games they love with exercise. Dance Dance Revolution for X Box is one. The more moves he succeeds at, the higher the score.
