First grade and creativity?
If anytime she play with legos or playdoh just copy from other people, what you' ll do for make her more cretive?
she is just rational, and doesn' t live any chance to creativy or fantasy.
Please help
Answer:
let her draw something creative..sometimes its easier to be creative with paint and crayons...maybe you can give her ideas of what to draw..just to start her off..then let her take over..or maybe you can bake a cake or cookies together and let her decorate them any way that she wants too
Please stop trying to make her be creative. She is a rational, literal child. Being creative (your way) just isn't her thing. Let her choose the way she wants to spend her time. My son was never into making his own buildings from legos. He would get a book with a building in it and try to copy it. He didn't paint to create his own masterpiece. He'd try to paint something around him to make it as close as possible (like his stuffed animal). He was just more into creating things that he liked and was around him. Give your daughter things to color, draw, do crafts, etc. with and just let her use them the way she likes. It's creative, just not the same as you. My son would try to draw things from upside down (the bottom up). Made for very interesting pictures. As for writing stories, she can write about the day you picked out her dog or cat, when she learned to ride a bike, or having fun swimming with friends. True stories are just as interesting as ones that are made up. Always praise what she's done. She's wonderful just the way she is. Good Luck!
Just because she does not show her creativity in the ways you expect her to does not mean she is not creative. Allow her to grow up with her own thoughts and ways of doing things - do not pressure her to be "more like you".
