5th grade science experiment?

I need help on picking a science experiment. I am dealing with Why do hurricanes and tornadoes occur? I would like answers before 2-20-07 or before thank you. I want a experiment that is possible

make a shadow box. use a big boot or shoe box and decorate it with the conditions in which a taornado or hurricane occur, like a tropical place etc, along with is make a little waether map witht he temp, elevaton, etc. will be easy cheap and dooable. go to the waetherchannle.com or something to info on the correct condition to produce a storm.
do the tornado in a bottle experiment. you get a to liter bootle, and put in water. turn, and ummm...i forgot the rest. i'm sorry, i did it four years ago. look it up online and see what you get.
a good science project for that age is senses. like putting different food in cups and smelling which is which, it sounds too simple but why do we smell what we do> how does the brain react to the senses, plus i did it a while ago and i got a great grade and all the people in my class had a lot of fun and ate a lot of yummy food b/c of it :O)
