Why doesn't ethanol conduct electricity?

Answer:
It is what is called a covalent compound. It doesn't contain any ions, which are needed for the flow of electricity throw a liquid or a solution. I don't know how much backround knowledge you have about this, so if there is anything you dont understand, then either email me, or check the following terms on wikipedia:

covalent compound
ionic compound
ions
