Concerta and side effects?

My son took Concerta yesterday for the first time and I noticed a huge difference and so did his professor so I was hugely pleased.......however last dark about the time it be wearing off his jaws be moving like a crackhead and he slept I don`t know 45 mins. last dark. Will these go away or should I switch too something else I can't stand too see him wandering around within the middle of the night approaching a crackhead. There is no doubt he wishes the meds for sure so those who say ADD don't exist or he doesn't involve it don't waste your time I won't even finish reading you answer. Thanks.

Answers:    1st sour to wendy get a grip. i own a 15yr old that is to say adhd and we dont just drug our child to construct our life undemanding. i am a stay at home mom have be since i gave birth to my children. we didnt present him any meds until he was surrounded by 4th grade. up until consequently we was lucky and have him in smaller classrooms next to 2 teachers that could hit on my childs desk and say reimburse attention... people approaching u make me sick. i surface so bad for your children...

presently for the real quiz. my son is on concerta 54mg. side effects for it is not wanting to eat, cant sleep and even tics. which could be why your childs jowl jerks. my son blinks alot and its a tic. we grant my son imipram to help near the tics and to help him sleep at nite... if u ask parents near adhd i bet 90% will say their child other had problems sleeping at nite. its do their brain dont stop. its going nonstop. thats why they do poorly at college cause they obtain bored.. i would talk to the dr asap and explain that hes not sleeping and his jowl started jerking since he started the meds. and apposite luck. and god bless you for trying to do right with your child. its a long road ahead but will be resourcefully worth it
Give him a few days to adjust and see what happens. Trouble sleeping is a side effect of Concerta and some kids hold a great deal of trouble next to it. Your doc would probably be able to volunteer you 2 options....any trying a different ADD medication, or taking a 2nd medication at night to comfort with sleep. Just save his doctor up to date on how he's doing (with Concerta, it is required that you see the doctor every 3 months anyway), and know that if he doesn't tolerate this medication very economically, there are other alternatives that can be as equally influential.
