10 going on 16?

my son has started acting like he is sixteen , with the you dont understand me and the attitude what to do?

Answer:
I don't think that is your parenting at all. It is completely normal for a kid his age to start acting out. It is the time in their life that hormones start racing. Yeah, it may sound early, but it's not. Just keep being consistent with him and make sure his boundaries are not overstepped. He will be fine. If it continues to be a problem, talk to the school counselor. They can help with being able to see if the problems needs more attention or not.
A lot of your son's actions are because of your parenting. If you don't like the way he's acting learn to discipline him. (No, I don't mean punish, that's not what discipline means, discipline means to teach.) If he's turning into someone you don't like, look at the way you act around him. Maybe you need to change your actions as well. Start some family rules with Do's and Don'ts (keep it under 7) (i.e. DO treat other's with respect DON'T have a bad attitude) And make sure everyone in the house follows the rules. Look at it from his point of view: You can cuss but he can't? Because you say so? How would you react to these sort of rules?
It is a bad thing because he is acting like he is going through puberty which won't come in about 2 or 3 years. Talk to him about puberty. In puberty, he will go through "mood swings", that cause the you don't understand me attitude. You should tell him that you don't encourage this kind of behaviour, but tell me(you) about his (you son's) problems.
