blood in the stool is not a good thing you need to take her to a doctor right away. if its just constipation stop feeding any and all junk food (if you do) and give her more fresh fruits or raisins. you might have to have the doctor prescribe her a stool softener. blood in the stool might be the sign of ibs (irritable bowel syndrome) which also might make it hard for her to go. but i would definitly take her to a doctor before you start self medicating her anal area
Regular Penaten [spelling sorry] bum cream you buy for babies will be good enough. Just make sure you deal with the constipation to make sure this doesn't happen again!

Consider your diet. If both of you have hemorrhoids, it may be that you don't have enough roughage in your diet or aren't eating enough vegetables. Do you both eat more meat, cheese and starch that vegetables? Think about it.
