Theres a site called neopets.com and it is safe and there are great math and learning games as well.
If you're looking for something with an educational benefit, try pbskidsgo.org. It has the links to the PBS shows aimed at older kids, like Cyberchase (best math games on the Internet!) and Zoom (great science activities).
Scholastic.com also has some interesting games, links to author sites, and so forth.
Why does a 10 year old need access to a website unless it is for school? 10 year olds should be outside burning off energy not planted in front of a computer to vegetate.
