Have your son contact The John Howard Society who at the very least will offer some direction.They may be able to help him find employment as well.I don't know what his conviction but he must look forward now and not behind.

your other question is in another category. I did look at it though. I think he will have to go to construction or some thing like that.
depending on what he was convicted of, he may never get a job.
but all he needs to do is keep trying
have him stay away from too many kids and elderly people type of jobs though
have him stick with fast food, grocery stores, gas stations, that sort of thing
he needs a job where he won't interact with too many people, that way after a while of working there and gaining trust and references, he can move on to working more with other people around him

Well, actions do hold consequences. People need to think about that before they do the wrong thing. Just b/c he admits it, doesn't mean everyone should give him what he wants. Some will and some won't. I am sure he'll be fine.
