My son has a cold in his eye and i was wandering if someone could give me a link how how to treat it?

It is a little matted together but i took a warm washcloth to it. He is asleep right now but i went to check on him and he raised up and i seen his eye like that. This just started with his eye but he is being treated right now for a inner ear infection.
If you could give me a link that would be greatly appreciated.

I think that the second one is better. Just be sure to keep your hands washed often. Your son has to be sure not to rub the other eye. Conjunctivitis brought on from an viral infection is very common. These aren't beleived to be contagious but they are. He'll probably need some antibiotic eye drops. Normally you can jsut call the dr, tell them what is wrong, and he'll call in a script.

Just apply warm compresses till the crust gets soft and you can wipe it off. Alternate cool rags because they'll probably feel better and keep the swelling down.

Hope he feels better soon. SD
Go to www.parenting.com! they have lots of articles in there...just type in what you are looking for.
I would take him to the doctor again. Eye infections are nothing to play with. Chances are he needs to have some drops for it.
your kid has an eye infection. tell your doctor.
Nancy J is right. Eye infections are serious. However, if the condition is just "conjunctivitis", or as you say "cold in the eye", you might apply polysporin ointment two or three times a day and watch if the condition is improving.

It usually will since Polysporin contains polymixin B and gramicidin, which is what you would get if you went to the ER or an eye doctor. And if you buy Polysporin at the drug store there is a choice of regular Polysporin or Ophthalmic Polysporin. The least expensive will do just as well.

However, if it does not subside after 2 days then a visit to the eye doctor should be made.

Special Note : If the person is a contact lens wearer and the redness and pain is accompanied by a tiny white ulcer, then RUSH to an eye doctor as this is the sign of "pseudomonas", an infection that can spread across the eye in24 hours and cause blindness
I thought you get colds in the nose. So I'm guessing it is not that. I think you may be talking about what we call a sty. Is it a little sore in the eye? If so apparently if you rub a gold ring over it that gets rid of them (so I'm told. I leave them to heal by themselves) Or is it conjunctivitis? Where they eye "glues" together. If it is this he needs to go to the doctor for antibiotic drops. If it is neither of these sorry
