My breast milk production has decreased in the last 2 weeks..what can I do to bring it back up?

I have an almost 5 month old daughter. I solely breastfed her for the first 2 months and then started her on cereal as well as breastmilk. She is now eating baby food and nursing. I have since gone back to work from 8-5 and I pump three times a day. I have noticed that my production has decreased in the past 2 weeks (from 12 oz a day to 5 or 6 if I am lucky) and I was wondering what I could do to keep it up? I intend to breastfeed until my daughter is a year old, but at this rate I am afraid my milk will be gone soon...thank you

Answer:
Try eating oatmeal for breakfast every day.

Try adding a pumping session.

Try drinking more fluids.

Try drinking Mother's Milk tea.

Try fenugreek supplements. 3-4 capsules 3x per day.

ETA:
Spend this weekend taking a "nursing vacation" meaning that ALL you do this weekend is self care and nursing/pumping frequently. No housework or cooking or anything.
Pump more, feed more... its all about supply and demand when it comes to breast milk production.
ASK YOUR DOCTOR
You may need to pump on one side while you nurse on the other a couple times a day. Pumping is not as effective as your baby's suckling, so you will have a bit of decline as you've noticed. You may also try some mother's milk tea, found at health food stores, and eat oatmeal to help boost supply.
I had this same problem when my baby was about 5 months. As long as you keep breastfeeding or pumping, you will not dry up. But to increase milk production, you need to breastfeed more often.
my breast milk depleted withing the first 2 weeks of my baby' girl's life. Dr told me to pump every 2 hours daily and every 3 hours nightly... i tried that and it just didn't work.. i tried going back on the prenatal vitamins.. different foods and nothing did the job.. my Dr said that sometimes the milk just doesn't supply itself...i was really sad that i couldn't breast feed.. good luck!
pump more often is keen, but you must also keep hydrated and eat fish, if you don't like he taste of fish even if it is tuna take some omega 3 (fish oil) pills, about 1,000mg per day.
Try adding a Lot of water to your diet for at least a few days (in addition to the other good advice)
Drink a lot more water
take herbal supplement FENUGREEK
I know you pump at work, but do you have a manual pump? If not, I suggest renting a hospital grade electric pump like MEDELA for a few weeks.
nurse more often when ever possible
talk to your doctor
talk to a lactation consultant
contct LLL

GOOD LUCK
Well wick tells you you should have the child weened by six months and on a sippy cup, but if you want to do it for a year, you need to pump more often drink lots of water and drink milk, stay away from sodas and the sort.

Of course this could be a good time to ween if your child does not seem to be taking it too hard, but that is totally up to you. Good luck
You need to drink lots of water and pump more often.
Make sure you are pumping with a good double breast pump. Drink lots and lots of water. Try massaging your breasts to stimulate them before feeding/pumping. Make sure you are pumping long enough (20 min) You can take herbs short term. They worked for me within 2 days. Take Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. 3 caps of each twice a day until you feel your supply is up. FOR SHORT TERM ONLY! A side effect is that your milk will smell slightly different.
