My son is four months and has a red rash (no bumps though) around his mouth and on his chin, but it's just a little chapping where he chews on his fist and keeps his face wet. I just put Vaseline on it and it's already better..
probably allergic reaction to something try switching some of the formulas
well it is always better to go with the doctor as yeast infection should be taken care off as soon as possible,i know its hard but it will be for the benifit of the baby
Buy some acidophilus from a health food store and add it what he is drinking.

Moisture helps the yeast thrive. Wipe his little mouth often to keep it dry. If he uses a pacifier, not might be the time to break that habit because it will keep moisture right there around his mouth. Good luck to you.
what are you washing his face with a friends son had a bumpy rash around his mouth and chin and she finally figured out her hubby was wiping the baby's face, after he ate, with a dish rag from the kitchen sink and it was causing the rash. it might be the soap you are using or something like that if it is not going away. you can always get a second opinion from another Dr or a dermatologist if you don't feel comfortable with what your Dr suggests. There is nothing wrong with changing Dr's to find one that you trust.
