3 month baby has a cold and won't eat that much?
Answer:
if he's congested, take him in the bathroom and run a hot shower, also keep humidifyer going. I also had to use the bulb syringe, or as we called it, the snot sucker, even though my babies would just cry. Little ones can't expell that snot too easily. Not eating much doesn't suprise me, can't swollow when you can't breathe thru your nose. Make sure some formula is getting in, and make sure he continues to pee. Otherwise he's dehydrated. Don't be afraid to trust your own instincts...better safe than sorry. He may only be 13wks, but you DO know him best!
make sure to take him to the doctor again, you dont want him to dehydrate. very dangerous.
This sounds about normal. When most people have a cold, they aren't really hungry. Unless he gets a fever, I wouldn't worry, just try to keep him happy and let him eat when he wants to. If he gets a fever, then I would take him back in.
If he is not eating much less or nothing by tomorrow, take him back to the doctor. But babies are able to pick up on your emotions, so try to relax a little. I know when I'm sick I sometime don't feel like eating and that is normal. Try giving him a bath or rock him for a while in a semi-dark room with soft classical music.
my little boy has had an head cold and hes preemie and the doctor told me to give him 2 ounces of pedalite till he starts eating more but offer him formula or breast milk at normal time pending on how he eats give him pedalite most kids even babies love it it might be he cant breate through his nose take the bottle out every so often so he may breathe through his mouth and use a nasal aspirator on him as much as you need to or still having trouble get another doctors opinion and the hospital told me sometimes using a drop of saline can help losen whatever is in his nose and i also got my little guy some baby vapor rub but not too much because i made the mistake of using to much and i made his skin irritate just a small dab will do and a little TLC and hell be feeling better in no time
