Why does my 2 week old newborn look like she has bags under her eyes?

She had them at birth also. Is this normal? I see alot of babies with them under their eyes. Is this something that will disappear after time? Thanks

Answer:
Yes, it's normal. She likely got Vitamin K shots and antibiotic ointment on her eyes in the hospital. They get puffy and stay that way for a little while. It's required by law. Instead of a huge copy & paste job, check out the link I posted below.
I think so, they're still swollen in the first months, and it goes down naturally. My baby was the same way, and he looks a lot different now than what he did when he was a newborn.
Most newborns look like wrinkled prunes when they arrive and it takes a while to start looking 'normal'.

If it worries you then ask the doctor. Take a look at some photos of you and your husband at the same age. That should give an indication.

If baby is happy, eating well and sleeping then there isnt much wrong with it.
