Answer:
1. Call your doctor.
2. Get some over the counter stool softener.
3. Drink a lot of water.
4. Relax, if your muscles are tense, it will be even harder...
Good luck!
Call your doctor! They know! Don't rely on strangers for this. It won't cost you a cent!
well...that is supposed to happen! :) everything in that region has been on a roller coaster...i know that you maybe scared,..i definetely was...but you have to do it..and its gonna hurt almost as bad as having the kid :) and not just the first time..it will hurt about the first three times but each time it will get better..good luck and i recommend having a cool wash cloth for your head and the trash can close just in case you need to vomit.. good luck!!
oh yeah dont forget to breathe :)
hee hee hooo...hee hee hoooo... lol
I feel for you! It was very painful for me as well. I got some over the counter colace...It will soften your stool. It will not give you the poos it will just help soften your stools. This helped me a lot. I used it for about 2 weeks and after that I was okay. It is scary to go at first, but the colace really does help! Make sure you are drinking plunty of water with it also.
Unfortunately you have to kind of deal with it...drink LOTS of water, that will help loosen things up a bit. No worries, it is not unusual.
Normal.
Drink alot of orange juice.
Ooooooh. I do not envy you. This is the one thing I remember after having my daughter. Two words. Stool Softeners. I forgot all about them until after about a week and I found them in my bag from the hospital. They will help out.
Oh, I forgot, make sure you get some witch hazel, or tucks pads. You will be needing these afterwards!
That's completely normal. Take some stool softener. That's what my wife did. It helped a lot.
well...you are afraid to have one but you fell you need to go? one answer "stool softeners" don't worry this is a normal thing i wish the best of luck to you
Stool softners, lots of water, juice, tea. No bananas or cheese!
You think the worst is over after giving birth, BUT! Trying to get your bowels going again can be just as difficult as the birth. I had C-sections and you think you will feel better after you can have a bowel movement but it hurts and you think your stitches are going to bust and then the hemmoroids start. It was bad with my first and even worst with my second. I called my OBGYN & said God please help! I was sore and constipated but had to go & the straining and hesitation created hemmoroids. Thought I had the worst hemmoroids in the world! He told me to take just a bit of MILK OF MAGNESIA and it was a miracle! You have to be careful as only a little is needed. You don't want the runs! For the hemmoroids he gave me a topical aerosal prescription of proctofoam HC and this was the second miracle. Preperation H was useless. I tried to do it alone, deal with the pain, but my kids suffered because I was a mess. Call your Doc and be blunt, ask for help to get moving again so you can enjoy that beautiful baby! God Speed!
Let me just say, been there done that, got the whole jump suit!!
After the birth of my first child i left the hospital without taking any stool softners, for the fear that it would hurt to much!! Well let me tell you, I was in so much pain 2WEEKS later when I still hadn't had a bowel movement! I ended up in emerg and they had to give me a high concentrated enima! Not fun!! I wasen't normal for months, the doc told me I could have really damaged my bowels! So do what ever you need to do to go!! Talk to your local pharmisist, or add lots off prune products to your diet!
Try a stool softener. I know it seems scary to go...but it really is not as bad as you think. I am 6 days postpartum and have had two other births.Been there and done that!
A stool softener or laxative will help ease some of the discomfort...but I promise...it really isn't that bad. In fact, if you put it off and don't go.it will become worse.
Good luck and congrats on the new baby!
First of all, go to a local pharmarcy and get get one of those rubber floats to ease yourself when sitting down.
Secondly buy Fybrogel. It'll help soften your stools.
Also eat a lot of soft green vegetables. :)
Take stool softners! I had a c-section and thanked god for them.
Oh i Feel for you. It is very painful. People say eats lots of fibre or anything that will make your poo soft like vegetables. But I opted for the stool softner. That was great. It did not take away all the discomferts of having a bowel movement but at least I was able to have one without a lot o pain. I also had hemmoroids ( im guessing) because there would also be blood so the stool softeners helped immensely. Also this pain lasted for about 3 weeks too. sorry to be graphic but that was one of the worst things after giving birth.
