How do you control your In-laws?

My In-laws have done nought but criticize me since I was pregnant near my son. While I was pregnant they said I never ate satisfactory or gained adequate weight (though he be born a healthy 7 lbs. 4 oz.), and that my belly button ring be going to hurt him. Now that he's here, he's going to be unhealthy because I don't breast nurture, he's never dressed the way he should be, he's burning up next to fever (though he's never have one). One time my Mother-in-law, who is an RN swore he had pneumonia because his chest be rattling, when contained by fact it be just some milk phlegm within his throat. And they don't respect my wishes like if he's asleep, they rouse him up, they smother him in blankets even when it's not cold, and if he stays near them, he sleeps in their bed instead of his bassinet. The other dark at a restaurant, my Mother-in-law woke him up and took him out of his car form and while she held him, my Father-in-law fed him a spoonful of tiramisu (cake soaked within coffee, topped with egg custard, whip cream, chocolate, caramel, and coffee powder). It might not be that big of a deal if he wasn't 3 1/2 months ripened. My husband and I protested, but he did it anyway. Thank god he spit it out, but then he tried to tender it to him two more times while my husband kicked him under the table. Is in that any way to get hold of them to respect me as a parent other than keeping their Grandson away from them?

Answers:    Wanna enclose your MIL up with mine? They're both RNs, so I'm sure they'll hold lots to gripe about! (my MIL specializes contained by geriatrics, so that makes it SO appropriate for her to relay me how I'm doing everything wrong with my 4 month old).

You and your husband do necessitate to stand up to them or not let them be alone next to the baby if they won't respect your wishes.
keeping the kid away from them for a while was the single way i could procure them to get the point to subsidise off! they kept wanting to see the toddler so i finally just have to say 'look, this is our kid and we will do things our route. i'm sorry if you dont agree but if you dont respect our wishes then the babe wont be left near you'. plain and simple.
