A strange rash(?) on my daughters head?
when i looked up ringworm it said it usually is bad around the edges then it gets better in the middle. it is the oppisite with my daughter, the edges are just starting to get flaky and the middle looks really bad.
there is no puss or oozing from the spots, and i can comb her hair and the flakes come off and it turns into red patches. however it is back to the same in the morn.
Answer:
Sounds like eczema. My 6 month old has it and the doctor prescribed steroid cream. Cleared it up in no time.
It sounds like eczema, did the doctor rule this out? Maybe take her to a dermatologist. I have a friend who's son suffers from this all over his body. There is no cure, but there is treatment to ease the symptoms.
It sounds like it could possibly be eczema or atopic dermatitis. Take your baby to a dermatologist who can properly diagnois it and give you the proper medications to treat it.
It could be Eczema (pronounced like Xema) it is rash like with dry patches and is very uncomfortable for anyone with it. It is not contagious if this is what it is. I would make an appointment with a Dermatologist and see what he or she thinks, my neice just went and she has it. They prescribed a cream that will keep it from flaring up often. I'm not sure what you sweetie has, if anything hope this is it b/c its not really that bad to live with compared to other things. If this isn't it I hope she will be better and you find out what is going on. If you tpye in Eczema in the web you should be able to further research and sort out on your on what it might be. Good Luck
I agree. It sounds like eczema. I have it and my daughter has it as well. Try taking your daughter to a dermatologist instead of a regular MD. Sometimes MD's are not accustomed to dealing with skin diseases.
