I think the Golden Books are great but they have gotten expensive within the past few years so I usually get them at a used book store.

My daughters favorite is Dr. Suess' ABC book.she's 2 now, and loves to repeat the abc's after me when we read the book. She also loves little books that she can take anywhere with her...they are more her size. (e.g 3x3 cardboard nursery rhyme books.)
