Question about boys circumcision?
Answer:
OK i read your previous post..your doc is right dont just pull and infants skin down so fast. It takes time and you have to slowly work it down. It could take a good bit of time befeor you can retract it all the way. Keep it clean like he says do the best you can your baby will be just fine.

it doesn't get any more detailed than that.
dont do it to the poor kid the paaaaaaaaaiiiinn
What do you want to know?
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THIS TO YOUR SON. IT'S NOT HARD TO KEEP CLEAN DAILY.
Depends on what you want to know about it??
Do NOT pull the foreskin back until the doctor says you can (in a few years)
as for the rash...soak your baby wipes in warm water to get the chemicals off of them...let him go naked to air out...and use the cream the doctor prescribed until the tube is gone
you shouldnt pull the foreskin down at all. it ususally retracts completely all by itself by 3 yrs old.
it supposed to cut away a sheath of skin prone to infections if one does not have good health habits. I would assume if there were no benefit that in time this skin would have disappeared on its own. Several decades ago - every kid had their tonsils removed - today only a few go Through this ritual. In some cultures females have a procedure similar to circumcision, we look at it as barbaric. Guess will stop this ritual and find some new one -like decapitation of infidels.
What do you want to know? The History? It started with Abraham (from the Bible not Lincoln) He did it as a sign of faith to God. Health? Some say it's cleaner than non-circumcised men. There's no hard evidence to support that. Personally, I'm circumcised and wonder what it would be like to make love with an intact penis. Oh well, it's not gonna grow back.
I have two boys and my husband and I decided not to circumcise them. We decided that it should be their choice and they can always have it done (and with anasthesia too) but it can never be undone. To clean the penis, we gently pull the skin back a little, it will not go all the way back until the boys are much older, we just pull it back enough to clean what isn't attached. We wash in the bathtub just like the rest of the body. If a diaper is really poopy and messy we clean with wipes and then pull the foreskin back a bit and wash with a wet washcloth to make sure no poop got in there and that's that. No more work or time than if they were circumcised but they didn't have to go through the pain and we have shown them the respect to let them make that decision.
My only concern was that their penises wouldn't look like dad's (he's circumcised) but then my husband said a truly wise thing, their hair, eyes, fingers, etc aren't the same either, why make it a big deal. So that's what we decided, why and how we deal with it. I hope this helps.
What's your question?
It's not necessary to have a boy circumcised. He's born with a foreskin for a reason.
Circumcision is basically a cosmetic procedure.
The AAP recommends against routine infant circumsision.
