Your baby's first sounds?

Mine started by saying, "bah" and now he says, "da da da" all the time. I'm still waiting for him to say, "mama."

What were the first distinct syllables that your baby said?

Answer:
baba's and dada's are the easiest. My little one didn't start saying mama until 9 months, now she conveniently has forgotten it (she is 19mths) and my new name is "HEY"!
She first started with "da da" then ""mama"and then "good""
all of my children said dada first I dont know why but my Mom said I used to just break her heart b/c she wanted me to say Mama and I would always answer her with Dada I think it is just easier for them
Mine started with Dah-dah-dah, then Buh, the a Guh that turned into a happy gurgle. N came next, then M. S is his latest, with F, and occasionally L (his favourite word is Light, but usually comes out "Ite!")
Bubba was first, which happened to be the dogs name. Then Dada.
My son let out a short tiny high pitched squeak that startled him. Then cat, bah. Just like a billy goat would say it.
My older daughters first sound was ma ma ma ma. She would just say it over and over again. My younger daughter's first was hi. We always say hi Kylie to her, so I guess she just picked that one up first.
