My 4 month old took a bottle at 5am, went back to sleep and woke up at 7am. Should I offer a bottle or cereal?
Answer:
Honey, that child is ready to eat some food if he/she is hungry again in two hours. At 4 months, they want to start eating. Start with something mild, but be careful with fruit. Once they start fruit without trying other foods they don't want to eat anything but the fruit.
my son started showing signs of hunger at the same age
does your baby watch you whilst your eating too?
i weaned my son at 4 months, he now has breakfast cereal, lunch, dinner and now tea.
he is 8 months old!
i think your baby might want more.
give it a go
try with baby rice or some creamed porridge
good luck
Is the baby acting hungry? If so, then you could try some cereal or a bottle. If not, I would wait until they are hungry.
I would do both. Give him/her some cereal and then some milk.
What's his typical eating pattern (2, 3 4 hours?) and sleeping pattern? I am just wondering, because it may be that he's not hungry. 7 may just be when he wants to get up today. My son usually wakes around 7 and it's just because that's when he's waking, not because he's hungry.
baby's normal routine of feeding would be 3 hrs apart and the volume fed would depend on the baby's age. in ur case, if he wakes up hungry, u can try the cereal.. but if he jus wakes up cos he's had enough rest, then leave him till he asks for food...
the cereal would be fine... dont force him if he cant finish it. u can try offer him abt half or a quater share of his normal milk feeds if he takes very little of the cereal.
its alright, he's growing... :)
If she's not crying or wanting it don't give it to her till her next feeding time. My son always wanted a bottle every 3 hours. I usually would feed him but my doc wanted me to stay on a four hour schedule. It's very hard though.
neither, that is wake up time for most babies! play-time!
