Caregivers should begin to offer babies objects to hold when they’re approximately
_______ old.
A. one month C. three months
B. two months D. four months

Answer:
when the baby is ready, and the mom says it's ok, there is no set age, every baby is different
A. one month (what is it going to hurt)
I don't understand why you need to ask this question. A newborn will hold onto your finger !! You can give them soft toys at first so they don't hurt themselves because of their lack of control & then progress to firmer plastic/rubber toys. They should be watched though so they don't stick something in their mouth that could harm them.
A. one month

--that's according to the literature that the diaper company sends me on my baby's development.
Homework question??
The answer is D. Babies begin the grasping technique at about 4 months. But this is a tricky question because you can offer an object to a baby at three months too to encourage grasping because some babies develop this a bit earlier than 4 months.
