By the way, what can I use for my 3 month old grandsons eczema?
Answer:
Using creams and things on little 'uns is such a scary thought. Can often make things so much worse and cause sensitivities for life. Eliminate all possibile causes first, things like washing powders, moisurisers, bum creams, soaps, bubble bath, Mum's moisturiser, fake tan etc then look more at what is going into his body, that could be causing it, eg. diet, formulas. It his skin is irritating him then use plain old oatmeal. Put a little dry oats in a small pieces of clean cotton fabric (like a handkerchief), then put a rubber band around it and soak it in plain water. Once the oats are all mushy you can dab a little through the cloth onto the affected areas. Instant relief.
i had the same expereince with my 6month old son, i tried creams, went to doctors... all those stuff but unfortunately it didnt work. until one day i search in net, and found out that VASELINE PETROLEUM JELLY is the best to apply. & from what i've read avoid using soap in the affected areas it will make the skin more dry which is one of the main cause of eczema.
that method heal my baby. but since eczema has different level & different kinds. perhaps you can check this site for information:
http://www.nsc.gov.sg/
but i am strongly suggesting you should visit a dermatologist, since the patient is baby, that eczema might be a ATOPIC DERMATITS which is common to infants.
hope this help
