Is it safe?

to feed my 4 and half month old daughter sweet potatoes when she is constantly hungry and sometimes drinking 11 ounces at a time! and she is also eating cereal. people that have had kids are suggesting it to me. but is it safe when she is always hungry?

Answer:
Wow what a hungry baby! Always ask your doctor first before you try anything new. Have you given her oatmeal, rice, and mixed cereal? When you start fruits and veggies the first ones to try are bananas and apples. Check with your doc first though.
Wow. I would be broke!! You should really consult your pediatrician about her diet.
Mothers milk is the best for the baby at this age
feeding her the baby cereal is fine, with the sweet potatoes I am not shure, I was told by my doctor to wait until at least 6 mth. before starting anything other than plain baby cereal. talk to you baby's doctor he will advise you on if it's OK
my daughters doctor told me most babies are put on baby food around 4 months my daughter couldnt be put on baby food until she was 5 months due to her being a month premature. ask your doctor before you feed it to he. good luck
I dont think so, you baby should just now be starting cereal, and should not start baby food until next month, but does she spit up after she drinks that much milk? i think you should ask your pediatrition if its safe, because to me it doesnt sound normal...
