My preemie baby has a cough and we live in a country without four seasons...the paedi's medication doesnt work

my preemie baby is 3 mths corrected age and has cough and phlegm which either he cant swallow it so that it can be passed out.neither can he cough it out..so how?

First of all I have NO idea what you mean by four seasons.. are you talking about summer,winter, spring and fall? anyways... you have to be especially careful with premature babies, remember they didnt have a chance to fully develop... if the baby is having trouble breathing you need to get him to the hospital as soon as possible~! No joke.. if his airway is obstructed. get him medical attention.. ~Princess~
Try a cool mist humidifier. I dunno what to tell you except that ...go to a different doctor ..or I would take him to the hospital personally. They may have some other meds there and can help him.

This is a serious complication for preemies. My daughter was minutes from choking to death when they air lifted her to a hospital. Our doctor suggested it was just a cold. So we didn't think much of it other than to watch over her. When I noticed the labored breathing and problems coughing I called 911. You are the best barometer for your childs health. Trust yourself. Most great Pediatritions will tell you, "Better safe, than sorry."
